To celebrate 45 years of the TGV, SNCF Voyageurs handed designers and artists parts salvaged from end-of-life trains. Lorem took on used windows straight from the depot and turned them into works of art in their own right.
An auction for a good causeThe works were sold at a charity auction on 27 September 2026, with the proceeds going to charities including Vacances Ouvertes, which helps people who would otherwise miss out to go on holiday.
Live painting and "Bring your bulky item"On opening night, Lorem painted live. Over the weekend he ran "Bring your bulky item": visitors brought an everyday object and Lorem customised it on the spot. Giving objects a second life, just like the TGV windows: the heart of his practice, and the very message SNCF wanted to share.
